Internet Archive
Wayback Machine

A non-profit library of millions of free books, movies, images and more. This is a great online repository for public domain and hard to find items.

Public Domain
Movies

It can take 95 years for films by major film studios to enter public domain. But, failure to extend copyright can put a film in public domain much earlier.  You can watch many unexpected movies here such as Night of The Living Dead.
