The Lusitania was torpedoed by a German U-boat when she was only one day away from her destination. Passengers could see the coast of Ireland from the deck as she was slipping out from under them. 1,198 passengers and crew members lost their lives in this tragic event.  764 were saved by the valiant and heroic acts of rescuers and survivors.  Join Jason and the library and hear the details of Lusitania’s final voyage near the 106 anniversary of her sinking.
